- Delegate responsibility with gusto– No matter your role, collaborating and working effectively with others will lead to success, especially if you feel as though 2019 may be heralded as the “Year of Infinite Projects.” Speaking as a manager, I’m more effective when I entrust those projects to skilled members of my team. Not only do I have more time to focus on MEK Structural Engineering’s priorities, but my team’s capabilities grow from tackling new challenges. The mantra “many hands lighten the load” is as true today as ever. We have the right processes, technologies, and best practices to handle whatever the next stage of growth entails. Use those tools and your team’s collective abilities to get it done right.

Laughing about a movie, taking time to share personal stories . . . these small moments build team trust and camaraderie. Keep meetings focused, but light.
